Deborah Heart and Lung Center has reason to be proud! We've been rated as one of the top hospitals in New Jersey as published by Inside Jersey. The magazine joined with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., one of the nation's most respected healthcare research and information companies, to poll physicians and patients about New Jersey's top medical facilities.

New Jersey patients overwhelmingly ranked Deborah as the No. 1 hospital in the state (among hospitals with fewer than 350 beds). Deborah's ranking of 80 percent in the top hospital overall category was the highest statewide among smaller and larger hospital category sizes.

Patients also ranked Deborah as the No. 1 hospital for physician and nurse communication, giving Deborah the highest percentage points of patient satisfaction of any New Jersey hospital.

“This is a wonderful spotlight shining on Deborah,” says President and Chief Executive Officer John R. Ernst. “To have independent organizations poll patients and have them resoundingly place Deborah at the top for hospital quality in New Jersey underscores the good work we do here every day.”

Physicians like Deborah, too

Besides the superb patient ratings, New Jersey's licensed physicians also rated Deborah among the top in the state. The hospital tied for third place as the best hospital overall statewide (in its size grouping) and was ranked by physicians as the No. 1 facility in New Jersey for coronary bypass surgery and for treating congestive heart failure
