A winning partnership!
Deborah Heart and Lung Center and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) are proud to continue their partnership with the announcement of Darren Daulton and Al Leiter as spokespersons. Daulton, a former Philadelphia Phillies All-Star catcher and this year’s “Phillies Wall of Fame” inductee, joins Leiter, a former New York Mets All-Star pitcher, to help raise awareness of heart disease and its prevention. MLBPAA has selected Deborah as the heart hospital of choice for its 6,200 members nationwide. Members include 3,700 former Major League Baseball players and 1,200 current players, plus former minor league players, umpires, managers and coaches.
What it means for you
Daulton is currently a commentator on the Comcast Sports Network, and he has his own radio program on 97.5 FM The Fanatic in Philadelphia. Leiter is currently a color commentator for the YES Network and studio analyst for the MLB Network.
Daulton and Leiter join former Phillies pitcher Mitch “Wild Thing” Williams and former New York Yankees Hall of Fame pitcher Goose Gossage as spokespersons for Deborah and the MLBPAA national partnership. Both Daulton and Leiter appear in local Deborah TV and radio commercials and on billboards throughout the region.
With this partnership, MLBPAA acknowledges Deborah as a prestigious center for heart, lung and vascular disease. Former Major League Baseball players have traveled to Deborah from around the country for quality care. It’s comforting to know that you don’t have to travel far to have access to that same high-level care here at Deborah.
